Early Voting info

There are a number of ways to make your voice heard this election season. Whether you prefer early voting by mail, early voting in person, or election/primary day voting, you’ve got options.

Early in Person

 

Early voting starts Friday, Sept. 20th  and Ends Monday Nov 4th. To vote early in person, you can vote at your local election office. Dates and times vary by location (listed below). 

 

No matter which location you choose, you must be registered to vote. If you’re not already registered, Minnesota allows same day voter registration. Just bring with you proof of residence.

 

Early Voting Locations:

 

Anyone can vote here - Hennepin County Gov. Center:

  • Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

 

Eden Prairie residents: Eden Prairie City Center:

  • Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Minnetonka Residents: Minnetonka Community Center

  • Monday–Thursday, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

  • Friday, 8 a.m.–noon

Early by Mail

 

To vote early by mail, apply online for your absentee ballot at the MN Secretary of State Website

Allow AT LEAST two weeks for your ballot to make its way back to the election office if you return it by mail. Your ballot will not count if it is received after Election Day.

 

You can return your ballot in person no later than 8 p.m. on Election Day to the election office that sent your ballot. You can drop off ballots for up to three other voters. You will need to show identification with name and signature when returning a ballot for someone else. You may not drop your ballot off at your polling place on election day.
